How Knot To Paint: Chaos Space Marines and Vashtorr the Arkifane

It’s time to spin up the spike-o-meter and get ready to paint some trim, because the new Chaos Space Marines Codex is on its way and I’ve got some How Knot To Paint recipe cards for you all! Six in fact. Five of which are all warbands from the past, like Death Shadows, The Pyre, Betrayers of Pain and Extinction Angels, one is a little more recent in the form of the Crimson Slaughter and one… well one is Vashtorr the Arkifane.

You’ll also notice there’s a name on this article, and a change in the recipe card design. I wanted to do this because I’ve spent 18 months taking screenshots from Google Docs, sticking them to photos and then fixing them all up. Which was fine, but it looked… well it looked like I’d made them in 2 minutes (which I did) with very little thought given to presentation (which is accurate). Now, though, I’ve got a framework all sorted and ready to roll. Feel free to tell me what you think!

Painting miniatures is no exception. So, when Games Workshop sent a copy of Darktide: The Miniatures Game my way, I couldn’t resist diving straight into the four player character miniatures and given them all manner of alternative colour schemes far removed from the dark, gritty corridors of Tertium.
