20 Chaos Darkoath Marauder Colour Schemes and Contrast Recipes from Across the Pantheon

Get your fanciest boots and carved stone accessories ready, because the Slaves to Darkness Darkoath are coming in force for Warhammer Age of Sigmar on the day of posting this, and I’m here with a stack of Darkoath Marauder schemes and contrast painting recipes (with highlights, of course) for those models if you’re not sure how to paint yours! I’ve tried to lean into five schemes for each of the four major human-worshipped Chaos Gods (sorry, Great Horned Rat, you’ll get yours when the Skaven come along).

When painting your Darkoath Marauders, I’d heartily recommend leaving the shields off the model without question. They’re not as in the way of everything as they might be on some other AOS shield-toting miniatures, but there’s a handful where it’ll make it a lot easier.

So if you’re looking to dive into Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch or Slaanesh with Darkoath, check out these recipes!

Frequent readers might notice that the format of these has changed. Kinda happened across the How Knot to Paint pun and now I can’t stay away from it. If you’ve any feedback on it don’t hesitate to get in touch via X/Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, or anywhere you can find me on the Internet!

Miniatures provided for free ahead of release by Games Workshop for promotional purposes.
