Our uprising on Bheta-Decima is at hand and we are unshackled to take the world — alongside Kill Team: Termination — on this most blesses, auspicious of days in the form of our Brood Brother Cohorts! Okay there’s some Leagues of Votann in really nice coats which I wanted to paint a lot in there too but anyway. Here’s the thing. Ff you’re looking at either starting a Genestealer Cults army before the incoming Codex with this Kill Team or simply want to kick off a cult in general but want to try to align it with an existing Tyranid Hive Fleet because why not, how would one go about it?
Well that’s what these How Knot To Paint recipe cards are for. I’ve included the nine most common major and minor Hive Fleets of Kraken, Behemoth, Leviathan, Kronos, Gorgon, Tiamet, Ouroboros, Hydra, and Jormungandr alongside a relative newcomer in Hive Fleet Cetu with their beautiful blue-tinted blacks and soft purple for just this purpose.
For what it’s worth, the key to getting that Genestealer look using Contrast is two fold. First, mixing a little Magos Purple or Dreadful Visage (or both) into a flesh tone does absolute wonders. As, for that matter, does simple washing over a finished flesh colour with Dreadful Visage a couple of times to really hammer the purplish tone home.
